Bonuses, global warming, embryos and Russia, Oh My!

Random thoughts on a Wednesday morning.

*It is funny to watch the mostly contrived outrage of American lawmakers as more than 70 million-dollar AIG bonuses are uncovered and exposed. Now the Democrats on Capital Hill are furious and ready to tax the AIG officials 100 percent to recoup the bonuses paid with bailout money. However, it is the lawmakers who truly look foolish after doling out money to prop up private industry.

The federal government should not be in the business of bailing anyone out. There are already proper channels in place for companies going under. But, alas, AIG was a big Obama supporter and dished the then Illinois senator more than $100,000 in a bonus in 2008 – so, you do the math…

*There might be more than a few chinks in the new administration’s armor. As he rammed the so-called stimulus bill down the proverbial throats of legislators and the American taxpayers, Obama is now trying to ramrod his global warming initiatives and his health care plan in the same Chicago-style fashion.

However, those pesky “We the peoples” out there might be making some headway with their growing disdain of Barack. Eight senate Democrats have joined 25 senate Republicans in signing a letter of opposition to the speedy passage of Obama’s global warming plans including Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey.

It appears that Obama’s plan for “Cap and trade” has riled a few legislators. The letter stated, “Enactment of a cap-and-trade regime is likely to influence nearly every feature of the U.S. economy. Legislation so far-reaching should be fully vetted and given appropriate time for debate.”

Appropriate time for debate? Oh boy, that flies in the face of Obama’s tactical but tactless tack of “I won” so I get what I want.

*It is a misconception that George W. Bush was not a proponent of stem cell research. He was. He just had the morality and commonsense to limit FEDERAL FUNDING for study of viable embryos. God forbid we have a president who puts promoting a culture of life ahead of political expediency.

*Remember when I warned that a move toward globalization was coming? Well, news from Russia is that the Soviets are calling for the creation of an International Reserve Currency. I don’t know about you, but that just sounds plain bad. It will further the decline of the U.S. dollar and is nothing more than a power play by the Russians to further diminish our reign as a world leader.

But it should be expected. When the leaders of our own nation subscribe to the tenants that have failed so many countries before us and are more concerned with our global image than our internal strength and integrity, global leaders will see the opening to strike and dip their fingers into the slow unweaving of the fabric that has bound us for more than two centuries.

Sometimes I actually hate being right.

Society itself is like an animal. It is wild and unpredictable. If it is hungry it will consume you, if it is not it will leave you in a state of solitude that will have your ears ringing, searching for any sound. Society will play with you like and cat toys with a mouse, then pounce on you and leave you for dead.
We have to act a certain way to keep society interested in us. We have to let people think we are interested in our fate, least we are forgotten. People still hurt other people, steal and rape. We overlook them in our society. We walk by when people are being hurt or we pull our video camera out and hope to make some money on the footage. We are a sick people. We allow criminals to rule us, thieves to handle our money, and perverts to watch our children. We think everyone deserves a chance, or another or another.
We blame acronyms like ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) or video games with Society’s problems. It’s the parents fault. It’s the grandparents fault and it’s our fault. We need to think of the group’s survival instead of the poor kid that didn’t have a chance because of his environment. That’s BS disorder. We need to stand up to the wrong doers and the perverts and the thieves and make the parents liable for what the children do. They can have a joint cell for all I care. Join me because if you’re not part of the solution, then your part of the problem. I for one, am done taking this abuse in my society.

My advice to you about standing up to criminals: Buy a gun.

A friend of mine moved here from the UK and he asked me about the self defense law, because their have been a lot of break ins around his home.

I told him that if the thief is in your house that you have the right to defend yourself, your family, and your property.

I would blow someone’s brains out, if they tried to steal my morning coffee or one of my video games. A person has to have priorities, because I worked hard for my things.

This friend told me of an old farmer in the UK who shot an intruder in his farmhouse.
The intruder lived and sued the old farmer.
The farmer went to jail and the intruder is now living on the old farmer’s property.

I told him that the simple solution is when you shoot the intruder…make sure he is dead, then it’s your word and your family’s word against him and he ain’t going to be telling no lies.

Lots of break ins going on.

Locks and windows won’t keep a determined thief out, but a bullet in the head will stop them from doing it to someone else, then the cops can come and clean up the mess and shake your hand for taking another piece of crap off the streets.

I have had several cops tell me to shoot to kill, but if you only wound them and knock the intruder down, then shoot them in the head.

If the cops and DA question you, then you just tell them that they made a motion towards you again.

The law is on your side in self defense matters, unless you shoot a 12 yr old minority who is stealing cars on Christmas Eve, then the law is on the deadbeat drug dealing “father’s” side and gives him millions of our tax dollars.

I would like to clarify FOR ALL: embryonic stem cell experiments have all gone wrong. People that have been injected with them developed tumorous growths and other complications. (I would dare to compare the scientists that work with the embryonic stem cells to the Nazi doctors who carried out bizzare experiments on work camp prisoners.)
Remember, it’s not just a cell, it’s like getting an organ transplant. When you are not compatable, things go wrong. (The body rejects the intruder.)

Now, adult stem cells from your OWN BODY are good. A lady had a healthy trachea regrown and replaced her cancerous one. No problems whatsoever. People who have had stem cells taken out of themself and reintroduced have had amazing results. Why not go with common sense and actual proof? It has been misunderstood that all stem cells are bad. Not true. You, as you sit there, have fine stem cells in your body that could one day help you.
What authority do I have? I am a naturopathic practicioner and the daughter of a nurse. You must respect that li’l thing called “natural law.” Nature has a way to rebel when we go out of line.

Sincerely, Drea (a conservative, pro-life, Catholic, bellydancing goth girl)
